No one likes the same old desktop anymore. The majority of people always tend to have something unique at their desktops. This urge and need of computer users have forced the creation of many unique customization tools and websites. There are so many ways, by which you can customize your desktop – sky is the limit here!


A person can modify and customize his desktop according to his own personal preferences and tastes. Today, you are not bounded by the lack of available options. In this article, I will highlight some of the basic options that are available to you and waiting to be used. You can choose the possible choices that you would like to see at your desktop. I assume that majority of the people today use Windows 7. I personally liked it more than any of the previous Microsoft Windows’ versions. It just suits my style much better. One of the applauded features of Windows 7 was its personalization and customization techniques. It is easy to use and has a lot of features in it.

Windows default personalization methods mainly focus on some of the very basic customizable features. You can be free of all the icons from the desktop, and alternatively, you can insert all these icons in a dock. Wall clocks, digital clocks, calendars, reminders, weather updates, forecasts, headlines, feeds, twitter updates, Facebook explorer, currency converter, CPU meters, iTunes applications, battery chargers, snack reminders are some of the very few to name.

These skins get continuously updated and are able to completely overhaul, not only your desktop, but the entire way that your windows look like – desktop customization is just an ingredient in there.
